"I have always been very involved in my health and fitness – but have found that my flexibility always lagged behind my strength and cardiovascular fitness. With my chiropractic training and experience, I know that flexibility and balance are important factors in preventing injury and chronicity and that for total health these factors needed to be addressed in my body.
Several months after the birth of my first child – my body was taking the impact of breastfeeding, lifting baby, disturbed sleep and working part time as a chiropractor. I needed something to help me address the daily stressors that my body was experiencing. I have always been diligent with stretching before and after exercise but found that these generic set of standard stretches did not necessarily address my individual needs. I mentioned to a patient that I desperately needed to start yoga and she recommended me to Debbie.
Debbie designed a specific routine for my body and has altered this program as needed, including my second pregnancy. Debbie creates an environment that is comfortable for all levels and is always available for questions and concerns. Yoga has taught me greater body awareness, how to better deal with the working mother lifestyle and how to totally relax again.
