How To Get Started

Ring us up to book into a class so we can discuss which class would be most suitable for you. We offer both in studio and online zoom classes.
You book into a class for a month at a time, then book in at the end of each month for the next month. You’ll need to have your own yoga mat, block, belt and a towel.
It’s a good idea not to eat a meal before your class, as it may be uncomfortable doing some poses with food on your stomach.
Please arrive ten minutes early for your first studio class, to complete a health profile. If your first class is on zoom, the teacher will arrange to talk with you online just before your class.

This is to ensure that whilst practicing, you are optimising the benefits of yoga and addressing your health issues.
There are three options:

Zoom only classes - 2 per week, booked in
Studio only classes - 1 per week, booked in
A combination of 1 zoom class and 1 studio class, booked in
We accept cash and cheque as payment for the month, or you can ask for our account details to transfer your fees online.

Your Yoga Class

Yoga is turning your attention inwards. It's a time when you listen to yourself, and respond in a way that nurtures and promotes good health. Often our lives are filled with activities, noise, and many demands. This can mean we pay little attention to what our body is saying to us.

We think it's important to get some space, slow down the pace of life, and deal with stress (whether it's in your body or your mind). Each week when you arrive for class, let us know if you have any health problems, illness, headaches, if you are pregnant, or just feeling stressed, so we can help you adapt your practice. Many of our yoga students have had success in their yoga practice in dealing with conditions such as back and neck tension, insomnia, anxiety and depression, and this helps them to lead a happier, healthier life.

Our emphasis is on helping you to understand your body, and draw connections with your thoughts and feelings. Physical fitness is only part of the picture: in yoga you are also addressing mental fitness and emotional fitness. This is true holistic health.

We support you in developing your yoga practice, so that it becomes integrated into your life. The skills from yoga can readily be used in everyday life and we help you relate these skills to your life.
This is your yoga practice. This is your time.
