As a yoga student with Deb Simpson over the last six years, I have found the methods used at the Annangrove Yoga Studio have probably brought about one of the most worthwhile changes in my whole life.

As a Reflexologist, Yoga has allowed me to keep my own body agile and flexible, and working reliably. Over time I have noticed (both in my own body and referred clients) muscles are strengthened, joint flexibility and neuromuscular coordination improved, and hence improved confidence as one develops the ability to move with ease.

This vitally important enhancement of mobility brings with it independence, self-determination and a renewed interest in life.

I have always been very involved in my health and fitness – but have found that my flexibility always lagged behind my strength and cardiovascular fitness. With my chiropractic training and experience, I know that flexibility and balance are important factors in preventing injury and chronicity and that for total health these factors needed to be addressed in my body.
Several months after the birth of my first child – my body was taking the impact of breastfeeding, lifting baby, disturbed sleep and working part time as a chiropractor. I needed something to help me address the daily stressors that my body was experiencing. I have always been diligent with stretching before and after exercise but found that these generic set of standard stretches did not necessarily address my individual needs. I mentioned to a patient that I desperately needed to start yoga and she recommended me to Debbie.
Debbie designed a specific routine for my body and has altered this program as needed, including my second pregnancy. Debbie creates an environment that is comfortable for all levels and is always available for questions and concerns. Yoga has taught me greater body awareness, how to better deal with the working mother lifestyle and how to totally relax again.
I have no hesitation in recommending Debbie’s classes to many of my patients and encourage this active form of health care.

Yoga In The Park
As an osteopath I believe that correct biomechanical alignment is vital for the maintenance of a healthy body and that the basis of a good practitioner is fundamentally from their eye for the biomechanical alignment in a person.  I began treating yoga instructor, Deb Simpson in 2006 and a short time after I began yoga at “Yoga at your place”.  In attending these classes, I realized Deb had a great eye for the biomechanics of a person. This trait allows her to be an exceptional yoga teacher and to tailor each class to individual needs.   Deb also understands the dynamic state of the body and that a person must maintain strength and flexibility with the alignment of their body, mind and spirit.   I have attended many yoga classes around Sydney and as an osteopath I highly recommend “Yoga at your place” and believe that this yoga studio is a cut above the rest.
